Privacy policy

This static website has no forms, application cookies, analytics, or third-party scripts. The following policy describes the VendTally app.

Who is responsible. ShakeView, the trade name under which we operate VendTally while we register the company in the United States. Privacy contact: support@vendtally.app.

What data we process. Your account: name, email, phone if you sign in by SMS, and sign-in data. Your business: what you record (products and their photos, stock, customers, vendors, invoices, payments and expenses). Technical: app version, device type, error reports and, if you turn on alerts, a notification identifier.

Your customers' data. When you store your customers' data in the app, your business decides which data and for what. We only store and process it so the app works for you.

Why. To run the app (show your inventory, calculate balances and issue documents), to support you and to find and fix errors. We do not sell your data or use advertising or tracking.

Who we share it with. Only the providers that run the app: Supabase (database, sign-in and photos, in the United States), Sentry (error reports, without your email), Expo and Google Firebase (notification delivery, if you turn it on), Backblaze (encrypted backups) and an SMS provider (if you sign in with your phone). When you share an invoice by PDF, WhatsApp or email, it goes to the person you choose.

Phone permissions. We use the camera only to read barcodes, without saving photos, and Bluetooth only for the thermal printer, whenever you turn them on. Notifications are optional.

How long. While you have an account. If you request deletion, we delete your data within 30 days. Encrypted backups rotate and disappear within 90 days.

Your rights. You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it or delete your account and business from Settings or by writing to support@vendtally.app. We will reply within 30 days.

Security. Each business can only see its own data, and the server enforces it. Backups are encrypted. No system is infallible: if we detect an incident that affects you, we will tell you.

Changes. We will tell you inside the app. The version date is shown above.
